Event Overview
Visualize an Organized Workplace!
A visual workplace is the essential foundation for successful lean implementation. Our Visual Workplace Master Series will teach you simple and cost-effective tools to build that foundation. And the benefits of a visual workplace are unmistakable -- improved safety, shortened search time, reduced costs, just to name a few.
At this intensive three and a half-day kaizen event you will learn the methodology needed to implement the visual workplace in your own plant. This workshop is a rare opportunity for you to learn the principles of visual control systems, to immediately put those principles into action on the shop floor, and then take home the new skills you'll need to launch the visual workplace in your own company.
This dynamic event combines classroom training with hands on implementation on a working shop floor. In the classroom you will learn the principles of a visual management system by applying them in a simulated work environment. You will learn the basics of 5S, visual displays, visual metrics, and visual controls.
Moving to the shop floor on the second and third days, you will begin to implement what you have learned. Working in teams with people from the plant and other companies, you will begin to implement 5S to get the workplace organized. You will also utilize other visual management methods to improve communications, quality, and adherence to standards.
he last day of the event consists of team presentations. Each team will share their experience, the obstacles they overcame, and the successes they achieved. At the end of the week you will return home with an understanding of how you can create your own visual workplace.
