The Lean Manager Certification program is a 4 non-consecutive week educational program that speaks to today’s operating environments. The program develops your knowledge, confidence, and skill to lead a Lean initiative in your environment – building your execution and sustainment capabilities.

An action-oriented curriculum with simulations and case study-based classroom sessions coupled with small group exercises, hands-on ‘go-do’ sessions, and project work. This format allows for practical application of the techniques being learned, helping to translate theory into action.

A comprehensive curriculum covering both the production (technical) and management (social) elements needed for a successful, sustainable Lean program.

Participants who successfully complete the four-week training and mentoring program, pass the certification exam, and demonstrate successful implementation in their own facility are certified by Productivity Inc. and the Fisher College of Business as Lean Managers and earn 16 CEUs.

Your safety is our priority! We are following CDC and the State of Ohio guidelines for physical gatherings in public places, following all facility protocols. We will update as necessary to ensure the safety of all. These will be outlined in your registration confirmation

You will learn to:

  • Align organizational goals on critical objectives and translate them into improvement actions at all levels
  • See and address waste in your current processes by using your “Lean mindset” and the principles and tools of Lean, and create business cases for change
  • Build improvement plans that drastically accelerate processes and improve reliability
  • Support natural teams and project teams in the application of lean techniques
  • Create a daily management system to keep projects on track and moving forward
